Marantz PM700 DC (Direct Coupled) Intergrated Amplifier
One of Marantz's classics from the early 1980's. Superb vintage amplifier that has a warm detailed sound with enough power to drive most speakers, even inefficient ones, to a level most would never use. Not the DC on the front panel, Marantz's earlier amps such as the famous 1060 had capacitor coupled output.
This example had been neglected and had a channel blown, it needed the output pair replacing, luckily I had the correct ones as these are not easy to come by these days. Some resistors and the transistor in the bias circuit has also blown and were replaced. After calibrating and quite a lot of cleaning this amplifier is back to life and sounds fabulous.
