JVC JA-X9 Quadraphonic Integrated Amplifier
This is a very interesting amplifier. It is a discrete 4 channel amplifier with JVC's own quadraphonic decoder built in ad well as circuitry for other quad systems from competing manufacturers ( ).
It is a very heavy and well built amplifier from the 1970's? It has four channel discrete and bridges two channels (left front & left rear and right front and rear) for stereo giving more power in stereo mode.
At the moment all channels are a little noisy. It has a lot of transistors that are known to be noisy; the 2sc458, they will need tot be all changed. Quite a job as this is a very compact design however the circuit boards do unplug from the main board so hopefully easier than it looks....famous last words!!
