This is a small foot print, low power amplifier with capacitor coupled quasi-complimentary output using 2sd91 transistors. The build quality is great, the silver part of the front panel has engraved lettering. The chassis is solid and high quality parts were used throughout; low power was not considered budget the way it is today...low power does not mean low quality; these are superb amplifiers and when restored/refreshed sound very very good and can drive most speakers adequately for home use. This amplifier was working, just. It had static noise on both channels, I had already replaced a bad transistor, 2sc458, in each channel just to get it working, that was some time ago, I had intended to come back and finish the amplifier when I had received all the parts; I've been waiting for them quite a while, they are getting hard to get, especially the correct transistors. All small signal transistors need replacing as they are mostly the well known 2sc458 and fail or go noisy...always! But also the 2sc984 & 2sa565 on the main board, these are making a permanent hiss in both channels and will be replaced as soon as I get the new replacements.
